EVENT OVERVIEW

An overview of what players can look forward to at one of our outdoor laser-skirmish Events

1# ROLL CALL

At the very beginning of our events, we assemble all the participants together for an initial roll call.
Introductions are made, player participant forms are received and initial team groupings are organised.

2# SAFETY BRIEF

It is a legal requirement that all participants attend our initial Safety Brief.  The briefing introduces and covers topics such as our combat field orientation, the equipment being used at the event and the game simulation rules.
Participants are then fitted out with the required upper body harness and head sensors.

3# WEAPONS ISSUE

Our laser-skirmish taggers are then issued to all participants.

We provide training on our improvised firing range, where participants can familiarise themselves with the correct and safe operation of the various weapons and equipment.

4# PRE-DEPLOYMENT

Excitement builds as your team has time to prepare themselves for the impending combat. This includes opportunity to apply camouflage, sunburn cream or repellent and filling of their personal water bottles for use in the field.

5# MISSION ORDERS

The Commanders will receive their orders and then brief their junior leaders.
Strategic planning may then be formulated to ensure that the mission objectives, parameters and actions to be taken are understood by all members in the team.

6# DEPLOYMENT

At deployment, the equipment will start its pre-mission count-down timer.
Your team moves off from the adminstration area, out into the field to secure your insertion point.  Last-minute tactics and  groupings of participants can be discussed before the mission timer starts.

7# COMBAT SIMULATION

The event starts, the equipment is synchronised and the mission timer is counting down.
Your senses focus as the challenge becomes more real - this is it! ... Your group moves out with purpose; to seek out and close with the enemy, to wipe them out and to gain ground and repell the enemy at all costs.

7.1# HARD GROUND

Your scout takes hits and your team dives for cover!
The enemy has captured ground and  is firing on your Command Group, pining them down!
-During the simulation, trained staff are on hand to assist with any difficulties and offer advice whenever it is requested or required by players.

7.2# PINNED DOWN!

The pressure increases as the enemy fire is converging on your location. They are not letting up and it seems that your Command Group can't break out of contact with the enemy!
They are pinned down, out-numbered and out-gunned!

7.3# DEPLOY FIREPOWER!

Your Gun Group leader takes the initiative, moves the Gun Group up to higher ground and responds with supressive fire across the enemy position.

Your Command Group joins in and returns fire - You have regained the intiative!!

7.4# FIGHT THROUGH!

While dealing with two fronts, your Assault Group advances and attacks the enemy on thier blind side, wiping them out!
After securing the area, you quickly check for intel on the downed enemy leader, regroup your forces and dissappear into the bush before more enemy support rolls in.

7.5# NEW ORDERS!

During your mission, your team might receive altered and or additional objectives to increase the challenges and rewards.
The experience becomes more dynamic, pushing participants to be flexible and adaptable to meet the changing demands of combat.

8# END OF MISSION

"CEASE FIRE CALLED" is announced on your weapon systems as they all synchronously shut down...
It has been a hard, but rewarding battle and you can't believe that time has run so fast!
Your team has done their best to repell the enemy forces and complete the objectives within the required time.

After a final regrouping, participants make their way back to the administration area.

9# AFTER ACTION REVIEWS

At the administration area, all equipment is recovered and participants are assembled for the mission results.  Teams have the chance to discuss and explore what went right and what went wrong in their battle plans at each stage and to review their own team's efforts in the battles in hind-sight.
It's an opportunity to discuss the action, the tactics and the comraderie that is fostered in the thick of battle.  Victory and its glory is an easy burden to carry, while the lessons learnt from failure are what can make your team stronger.

10# BACK TO WORK

The hard part is now switching back over to the ordinary, after being the master of your destiny, wielding your own fate in your hands and leading your force against a determined and definate threat, your mission now is to put all that aside and return to the every-day routines, surrounded by everyday people.

A discerning nod, a wink or a smile is the recognition you will have with your felow comrades-in-arms around the office now, a quick reminder of the victorious battles and the great odds at which you stood up against, side by side as a team...

                                           -united in combat.
